Photobook - When communities participate in improving their health

Putting people at the centre of malaria control.

Learning brief

The Bridging Gaps: Innovate for Malaria (B4M) Project is being implemented by the Alliance for Reproductive Health Rights, a long-time champion of health rights in Ghana

B4M has demonstrated the improvements that can be achieved when communities know their health rights and collaborate with district health authorities to identify gaps in provision, and to help find quick and suitable solutions.

This book presents the health care experiences of people in dozens of communities from their own perspectives. The images and personal stories offer a window into the reality of health care in rural and deprived communities in malaria endemic areas in Ghana’s Western Region and Western North Region.
