Despite historic progress over recent decades, one child still dies from malaria every two minutes. GSK and Comic Relief joined forces back in 2015 to help address this challenge
We set out to fight malaria and improve health for people living in Ghana, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, and the greater Mekong region.
Our partnership combined Comic Relief’s independent grant making expertise with GSK’s knowledge and experience in improving access to global healthcare.
Since 2015, our partnership has awarded £19 million in grants to organisations working with communities to improve health services and control the spread of malaria.
We’ve also helped to inspire global action by amplifying compelling, authentic stories and empowering a generation of youth advocates across Africa.

We believe one of the best ways to fight malaria is to strengthen local and national health systems and improve their ability to combat the disease.
